Firmslim utilises a unique combination of infra-red laser, bipolar radio frequency, mechanical roller massage & vacuum suction to lift, firm and tone the skin. 

FirmSlim Lipo System offers an effective and comfortable way to achieve wrinkle reduction & skin tightening, fat and cellulite reduction, inch loss and can improve the appearance of stretch marks. 

FirmSlim is one of few treatments that can work in the delicate eye contour right up to the lashes to reduce crows feet, bags and dark circles. 

How does FirmSlim work?

The Firmslim Lipo procedure combines four clinically proven & effective techniques in one state of the art treatment. 

Infra-red laser therapy gently heats the skin reducing its natural resistance to electrical current enabling radio frequency (RF) energy to deeply penetrate the connective tissue. 

Specially designed applicators with a gentle suction and rotating rollers pick up and create a fold in the skin which is held firmly against the applicator head. The controlled and constant pressure within the skin fold confines the RF energy to the speciifc area improving its effect and safety. 

Skin Firming

Heat created by the infra red laser and RF energy acts on the ageing and distorted collagen causing it to immediately contract & tighten. It also stimulates the fibroblasts in the skin to produce new collagen, thus creating further tightening over time. 

The combined intermittant vacuum suction and mechanical roller massage unblocks the blood and oxygen flow in the tissues, increases the lymph circulation eliminating excess fluids and toxins, stimulates fibroblast activity and remodels the collagen fibers. 

Fat Reduction & Inch Loss

Infra-red laser & RF energy heats the skin causing pores to form on the adipocytes (fat cells) allowing the contents to leak out. 

Fat in the form of Triglycerides are released into the interstitial fluid between the cells where they are enzymatically metabolised to glycerol and free fatty acids (FFA's). Triglycerides are normally released from fat cells when the body needs an energy source. Water soluble glycerol is abosrbed by the circulatory system and used as an energy source whereas the insoluble fatty free acids are transported to the liver, where they are processed as any other fatty free acid. 

Adipose cells "shrink" significantly resulting in an inch loss 

The combined intermittant vacuum suction and mechanical roller massage unblocks the blood and oxygen flow in the tissues, increases the lymph circulation eliminating excess fluids and toxins, stretches the connective tissue, facilitates fat metabolism, stimulates fibroblast activity and remodels the collagen fibers resulting in a smoother more contoured body. 

The Procedure

A full consultation will be carries out to assess your requirements and suitability for treatment. 

Photographs may be taken to compare the end results. 

In the case of inch loss, measurements may be taken and recorded.

The area to be treated will be cleansed and then a light oil is applied to the surface. 

Infra-red laser, RF energy, vacuum suction and mechanical roller massage are delivered simultaneously through a specially designed applicator. 

Is it painful?

Not at all. Treatment feels like a warm massage. 

Are there any side affects?

Side effects are minimal and include lingering warmth, tightness, swelling or redness in the treated area. This often fades within a few hours of treatment and seldom lasts more than a few days. Generally, you can receive a treatment and go back to work or to other activities without any recovery time. 

In very rare cases, small blisters (or burns) may occur on the skin, which should heal in under a week. This is generally considered to be a risk (albeit an extremely rare one) in more boney areas of the body, such as on the forehead or along the jawbone. 

How many treatments will I need?

A series of 6 to 8 treatments is required for the face at weekly intervals. 

10 - 12 treatments are required for fat/inch loss reduction of the body.

Post Procedure Advice

You should drink plenty of water before and after the treatment and exercise or take a brisk walk daily for at least three days after the treatment to promote optimal lymphatic drainage.
